FAQ

What hair types are best suited for the Slim Machine Weft?

Any hair density can wear Slim Machine Weft due to its customization aspect. It’s even more ideal for fine to medium density hair types, than the traditional machine weft.

Do you have to deconstruct the Slim Machine Weft?

No. While the Slim Machine Weft can be deconstructed if needed, it is generally not necessary due to its thin, slim design.

Why would you deconstruct the Slim Machine Weft?

There are two main reasons you may deconstruct the Slim Machine Weft. If your client has fine hair and the density of the Slim Machine Weft as is, is too much, you can deconstruct it into two separate layers for less density. If you want to customize the color of your install without coloring the extensions, you can deconstruct the Slim Machine Weft, and add in multiple layers of colors throughout.

What’s the difference between Q Weft and Slim Machine Weft?

The Slim Machine Weft is more durable than the Q Weft, making it a strong option for clients that are more active with their extensions. The Slim Machine Weft is also made of thread, making the spine porous and able to be colored, vs the Q Weft which is not.

What’s the difference between Slim Machine Weft and the OG Machine Weft?

The Slim Machine Weft lays flatter than the OG. While the weight of the hair is the same, the weft itself is slimmer at the base. They both have the same “mustache/return” on the weft. They are the same weights and width for both wefts.

Is this a good option for a first-time extension client?

Absolutely. It’s flat, lightweight, and comfortable design makes it an excellent choice for first-time extension wearers.

Can the Slim Machine Weft be cut?

Yes. Unlike traditional hand tied wefts, the Slim Machine Weft can be cut to fully customize the fit to the head.

Can they be colored?

They are made from 100% Remy human hair. However, bleaching or lifting is not recommended. Any color alterations should be performed by a professional stylist and will void the warranty. A test strand is always recommended for optimal results.

How are they installed?

They are typically installed using a beaded and sewn method, creating a secure, flat, and comfortable application.

Can I swim with them?

If you’re going to, it is recommended to apply AQUA Hair Extensions Leave in Conditioner or Mask prior. Swimming is not recommended, as chlorine and saltwater can cause tangling, dryness, and discoloration.

How should they be cared for?

For maximum longevity, use the AQUA Hair Extension Retail Line shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in. Proper home care protects your investment and extends the life of your extensions.

Why would I choose Slim Machine Weft over another weft option?

Slim Machine Weft is created with maximum density in mind, for your densest clients, but also thinner and flatter at the base than the OG Machine Weft. It also deconstructs for the option of less density and weight for finer hair.
