Application Tips:

  • For full-head applications, use Slim Tape In throughout the entire installation or pair it with Tape Ins placing it either on top or bottom of the panel where it faces the most visible side. Another option is to use it strategically only around the hairline, crown, and face-framing sections with Tape Ins for the rest of the installation. The customization options are endless.
  • For fast, hybrid application, combine Slim Tape Ins with Tape In Wefts. Utilize the Tape In Weft across the majority of the installation - particularly at the back - to efficiently enhance length, density, and volume. Following this, apply Slim Tape Ins in the areas closer to the hairline to seamlessly integrate shorter layers or manage finer hair densities, ensuring a perfect blend with the rest of the extensions.
  • For clients with finer hair densities, pair Slim Tape Ins with Single Sided Tape around the hairline. This provides the seamless blend and fullness they are looking for without the added weight of layering the two Slim Tape Ins together. 

Best placements:

  • Hairline and face-framing sections, where band visibility is most client-noticed
  • Crown placement, allows application higher on the head without show-through
  • Fine hair clients, the reduced band profile sits flatter against the scalp compared to other completely concealed band types, and blends more naturally into the natural hair.

Maintenance Tips:

  • Slim Tape Ins are applied, removed, and re-applied the exact same way as Tape In Extensions. No need for any extra tools or supplies. Use Express Remover, Re Tape Tabs, EZ Re Tape Tabs and Single Sided Tape Tabs with both systems.

Are Slim Tape Ins the same size and weight as Tape Ins?

Yes, both Tape In systems are the same width and depth on the adhesive side, and will use the same Re Tape Tabs, EZ Re Tape Tabs and Single Sided Tape Tabs. Only the top facing side is “slimmer” for a more natural look. They both also have the same amount of hair on each piece with the exception of our 14” - Slim Tape In 23g vs. Tape In 25g.

Do they still come in 10 piece packs?

Yes, they are 10 piece packs, just like the Tape Ins.

Are they latex free?

Yes, Slim Tape Ins are latex free, as well as the EZ Re Tape Tabs.

Why would I choose Slim Tape over the Tape Ins?

If you are looking for a slimmer, more natural looking tape in extension for your guest, Slim Tape Ins are your best option. If the guest has finer hair, or areas where you may be worried about exposure, then Slim Tape In is a great choice.

Does the Slim Tape In shed more than regular tape ins?

Great question, they do not! Both tape-in extension options have a polyurethane seal across the top of the extension, sealing the hairs in place vs. other more concealed options that have individually attached hairs. This seal allows for very minimal to no shedding with AQUA’s Tape In Systems.

Are the Slim Tape In and Tape In Weft the same thing?

Technically, yes. They both have our Slim Tape In technology and are made of the same material. However, the Slim Tape Ins are precut at 1.6” pieces and the Tape In Weft is a 12” wide piece that can be cut to the desired width. The Tape in Weft also has higher grams per inch when comparing it to the Slim Tape In.

Can I use the Single Sided Strips and/or Tape In Weft Roll with Slim Tape Ins?

Technically, yes. However, we do offer pre-cut Re Tape Tabs and Single Sided Re Tape Tabs that fit the Slim Tape Ins perfectly- removing the need to measure and cut each piece if using Single Sided Strips or Tape In Weft Roll.
